Free Movie Night at Taconic State Park

Friends of Taconic State Park hosts Movie Night at Copake Iron Works on Saturday, July 27 at 8:30 PM. A feature film suitable for all ages will follow a showing of entertaining short "flicks" compiled by Friends of Taconic State Park. This month's film is Disney Pixar "MONSTERS, INC." Admission is free. Bring your own chairs or blankets. Bug spray is advised.



Friends of Taconic State Park was established in 2008 to promote recreational, historical, educational and cultural activities within the park.There are currently about 300 dues paid members of Friends of Taconic State Park.The group recently completed construction of a protective cover for the historic Copake Iron Works blast furnace. The furnace's brick arches are now being stabilized.




Friends of Taconic State Park offers a throughout the year.Upcoming events include our Fifth Annual Meeting and Potluck Supper on July 25, Open Garden Day with Margaret Roach and at Copake Falls Day on August 17, Movie Night at Copake Iron Works "Despicable Me" on August 24, "Hidden Valley Hike" with the Hudson Valley Ramble on September 21 (rain date September 22), and much more.
