Famitsu has recently posted a bunch of screenshots for the upcoming 3DS game Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind, which is based on Hajime Isayama's manga and anime depicting a dystopian future in which mankind are hunted down and eaten by giant monsters known as Titans. The only line of defense against the titans are human soldiers who use a device called the 3D Maneuver Gear, which allow them to reach great heights while remaining agile and mobile enough to deal with a single Titan.
Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind is notable for being the first action game based on Attack on Titan, as the previous game was a visual novel. The screenshots manage to show off the 3D Maneuver Gear in action, and just like in the manga and anime, the Titans in the game need to be taken down via a swift cut to the back of the neck, allowing the players to swoop in and target specific weak points.
