Sunset Overdrive Story Rumored to Hit Shelves in October

Both of the Next-Gen consoles didn't come with any outstanding exclusives but the sales number shows that both of the consoles didn't really need these exclusive to sell systems. But sooner or later better exclusives will need to come along.

Although Microsoft would be relying most on their popular franchises of Halo and Gears of War, but new IPs are always needed to keep it fresh for the consumers, and none of them looks as exciting as Sunset Overdrive.

Most of the people have forgotten about this title from Insomniac Games because there has been no coverage of the game at all since it was first showed at the Xbox One E3 conference. Some rumors have claimed that the game will hit the shelves this October.

These new details come from the source of , who leaked a lot of rumors regarding Microsoft plans for the Xbox One, which included news of Halo and disk less Xbox.

According to the source a white Xbox One will go on sale this October and with it Sunset Overdrive and a fancy controller will also hit the shelves.

The announcement trailer made everyone excited about this game, there have been rumors surrounding the story and premise of the game, according to the source:

"Sunset Overdrive takes place in the near-future - the sheer volume and obnoxious nature of billboards and advertising is clearly a commentary on pop culture - as the population has fallen victim to the most nefarious of villains: an energy drink.

A drink called 'OverCharge Delirium XT,' to be more specific, which either turns human beings into the hulking, mutated monsters visible in the trailer, or kills them outright. These reports are the only hint at the game's story so far, and given the presence of said beverage in both marketing and gameplay, it's not too far-fetched an idea."

Sunset overdrive is in development exclusively for the Xbox One, we will keep you updated as more information is available.
