Superheroine of the Night: Cyndi Lauper

I am a child of the eighties so obviously I think Cyndi Lauper is a superheroine. But look what she wore for the 2014 Grammys:

THAT is heroine chic. And she KNOWS it, too.

This seriously looks like a page out of a comic book. An AMAZING comic book where the superheroes secret identities are rock stars. Like the (have you seen Sailor Stars? It's the last series of the first Sailor Moon anime and the latest and greatest Sailor Senshi are women from another galaxy and their secret identities on Earth are a boy band because when they are not powered up they are male. And the antagonists of this series travel around in phone boxes just like The Doctor. You all should go out and watch Sailor Stars RIGHT NOW) or the X-Men's (let's be real, Cyndi Lauper basically is Dazzler, right?).

But even ignoring Cyndi completely (which we'd never do but) that hat on Pharrell? And the arrow on the ground? And the lady on the very left trying to hold in her squee? I want to read this comic book!!!!

If you are still not convinced Cyndi also wore this:

Which is a) totally and completely something a Sailor Moon monster of the week would weara brilliant concert pianist turned soul sucking creature, b) totally and completely what a magical girl who uses the power of music to save the world (like in Macross 7! Everyone should go watch Macross 7 right now too!) would wear, but most importantly c)

Totally and completely Superheroine of the Night.
