Hisense X1: A 6.8Smartphone That Acts Like A Tablet

Okay, anybody that knows me knows I like a Phablet-type device - the larger screen just makes it easier for me to enjoy the smartphone experience. I am quite happy with my 5.7-inch screen, although if they want to make the Note 4 s display 5.9-inches, I will not argue - but 6.8-inches is just a "tad" too large for me. If it came to that I would just purchase a Nexus 7 or Samsung tablet to satisfy my "larger" needs.



According to , Hisense just announced their X1 - a 6.8-inch smartphone, but was it really a smart idea; this could quite literally replace your 7-inch tablet, but would you want to be seen talking on such a large device. Hisense has "sensed" this dilemma and right beside the X1 at CES was a display of Bluetooth headsets and miniature candy bar-type handsets to use in place of your X1 - keep it in your BIG pocket, purse, or murse, and use the smaller device on which to hold your conversation.




The Hisense X1 features a 6.8-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, and inside powering this monster is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of Internal Storage.It features a 13MP main camera and a 5MP Front Facing Camera (FFC) that will be excellent for video chatting or selfies.It packs a 3900mAh battery that should give you enough power to get through the better part of the day, unless you are heavy into watching videos, movies, or playing games.All of this is running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.



Take a look below at the video they shot. The device seems to run smoothly and has a quick response. It really does look like he is demonstrating a tablet rather than a smartphone - but can you image how great videos, movies, and games would look.
