DC welcomes readers back to "Gothtopia" this Wednesday in BATGIRL #27 by Gail Simone and Fernando Pasarin. Picking up from where the last comic series left off, heroes have turned against each other after the loss of one of their best and Superman's tyranny continues to strangle the Earth.
Marvel is bringing back Cullen Bunn, the man behind the Deadpool Killogy, to kick of the new series NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEADPOOL #1 with help from artist Ramon Rosanas. After awaking from a food coma, Deadpool discovers the world has been overrun by zombies. (Don't you hate it when that happens?) Will he become the next meal? In INHUMANITY: SPIDER-MAN #1 by Christos N. Cage and Stephanie Hans, the Superior Spider-Man learns super powers aren't all it takes to be superior after Atitlan crashes in New York City. Marvel UK characters continue their adventure in REVOLUTIONARY WAR: DARK ANGEL #1 by Kieron Gillen and Dietrich Smith.
Marvel and Disney team up to bring the famous, and never built, Museum of the Weird to life in DISNEY KINGDOMS: SEEKERS OF THE WEIRD #1 by Brandon Seifert and Karl Moline. Teens Maxwell and Melody must embark on an epic adventure through the dangerous and thrilling Museum of the Weird to save their kidnapped parents. Originally envisioned in 1965 by Imagineer Rolly Crump for Walt Disney, the designs for the museum never saw light until now. Seekers of fun, action and adventure won't want to miss this new book.
The IDW event of the year starts in X-FILE CONSPIRACY #1 by Paul Crilley and John Stanisci. The Lone Gunmen uncover information on a plague that will wipe out humanity after discovering internet files from the future. While Mulder and Scully take lead on the case, the Gunmen must investigate several urban legends that have been making the rounds: turtles the size of men with awesome ninja moves, alien robots that are more than meet the eye, some ghost hunters in New York, and a spirit back for revenge (the Crow!).
