Fast Scripter Takes on WWII Werewolf Flick

It's werewolves and Nazis for Universal and , the writer-producer of several of the more recent Fast & Furious movies, as the studio has picked up Robert R. McCammon's 1989 novel The Wolf's Hour for Morgan and his production company.

has the report on The Wolf's Hour, which is about a werewolf who is also a secret weapon in the battle against the Nazis. The acquisition includes a script already written by brothers Bradley and Kevin Marcus, who originally optioned the book themselves.

I wonder what this means for Universal's bigger monster plans? The gatekeepers of the classic Universal monsters (obviously), there's been talk lately about the studio rebooting that franchise in some way and perhaps creating a Marvel-esque interlocking universe (which, after all, is one of the reasons we love the classic monster films). The studio has the prequel Dracula Untold in the works as well as Van Helsing and Mummy reboots, so could the new Larry Talbot wind up being a Nazi hunter? Eh, probably notbut how many Wolf Man movies do you want to have going at one time then?
