UK FILM DISTRIBUTORS

The BRITISH FILM INSTITUTE PLAYER was launched in 2013 to bring the best of contemporary British cinema directly to audiences.



Supported by Lottery Funding the BFI supports UK independent cinema distibutors in finding new audiences directly or through TV platforms.




The BRITISH FILM INSTITUTE PLAYER wants to add choice and creative diversity to the VOD marketplace.



The BRITISH FILM INSTITUTE PLAYER wants to provide a distribution platform for the films digitised through the Unlocking Film Heritage programme.



Vertigo Films is a UK Film and Distribution company that creates and distributes commercially driven independent cinema. Vertigo Films is at the forefront of breaking new talent, including Paul Andrew Williams (London to Brighton)



The Films span a range of genres and audience taste and include the box office smash hit STREETDANCE 3D, the biggest independent UK DVD of all time THE FOOTBALL FACTORY, the multi award winning MONSTERS, Vertigo co-production AJAMI (nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film), smash hit family film HORRID HENRY THE MOVIE, audience favourite THE SWEENEY, and the hottest director of the moment, Nicolas Winding Refn's first English-language film, BRONSON.



In 2013 Vertigo has eight films in production including PUDSEY THE MOVIE - a co-production with Simon Cowell's company Syco, WALKING ON SUNSHINE - a feel good musical in partnership with IM Global and MONSTERS:THE DARK CONTINENT from hot new director Tom Green.



MOMENTUM PICTURESis one of the leading independent distributors in the and and releases approximately 20 theatrical films a year, with several releases. It has its own YouTube channel.



Momentum's most successful theatrical releases include the Oscar, BAFTA and BIFA-winning The King's Speech, Am lie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation,Control, Downfall, The Young Victoria, Defiance, Milk, Let the Right One In, The Illusionist, Just Friends, District B13 Ultimatum, The Men Who Stare at Goats, Law Abiding Citizen, Glorious 39, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Red Tails (co-distribution with 20th Century Fox) and P.S. I Love You.
